Adventure Thus Far
The Introduction
The party arrived at Emberwood village as a part of an escort for Eren Marlowe (I'll check the name again another time). They were tasked with a mission by a man bearing the name Ansom Lang. Once they were acquainted with the village, they learned of Ansom's quest to save his sister, Petra, from the ratlings of the Rat's Nest Tavern.
Alongside all of this, the party met Aldor the Immense, a magic items trader who also likes to deal in delerium. While the interaction went negatively (due to people trying to shake him down), Aldor was unfazed and still offers items like normal.
Rat's Nest Tavern
With a mission given, the party was free to head into Drakkenheim for their first adventure. Little did they know it would incredibly dangerous. The most notable interaction they had outside of the tavern was with a chimera, which resulted in an orphaned child chimera, a collapsed building, and the party escaping with meat.
Arriving at the tavern revealed something concerning. There were a LOT of ratlings. Just from the outside, you could hear the scampering and chattering of the ratlings, leaving them to try and piece together a plan. With some luck and keen eyes, a route into the sewers was discovered that easily led into the burrow.
Sneaking around only got them so far, however. After some exploring, they were forced to make a hasty move to leave the area they were in lest they get spotted. Ultimately the chase ended in them coming across the Rat Prince.
A difficult and well fought battle took place. The party emerged victorious with the decapitated head of the Rat Prince. They removed his teeth, then spared Squeaks the Seer.
Technically unknown Information. Squeaks is now making a bid for becoming the one true leader of the ratlings to unify them under one being.
A Brief Saunter
Coming back into Emberwood Village, not too much happened initially. However, Adora was dead set on the idea of gilding her axe with delerium. So began the plan to make it happen. With the large chunk of Delerium from the Rat's Nest Tavern, Adora was able to get her weapon around the time that the group got their newest job.
Finding out what was going on with Oscar Yoren and his potions was a topic that interested many. River from the Amethyst Academy, Blackjack Mel of the Queen's Men, and Petra Lang of the Hooded Lanterns. The party spoke to each of these individuals and ultimately agreed (however vaguely) to do work on their behalf.
River and the Amethyst Academy wanted Oscar Yoren's research or his literal brain in order to learn what he was working on.
Blackjack Mel and the Queen's Men wanted to take this information away from the Amethyst Academy in order to keep them from getting the formula to Aqua Expurgo.
Petra Lang and the Hooded Lantern's simply want their regular shipments of Aqua Expurgo so that they can protect their own people and keep them from being sickened by the Haze.
In the Midst
All In a Day's Work
While the party was shifting around and learning that multiple factions wanted help with obtaining Oscar Yoren's research, Perseus met another mage in Skull and Sword Taphouse. She didn't introduce herself and was spending her time tripping drunks, but immediately after Perseus and A'ndir witnessed her cast some form of graviturgy magic to kill a band of bandits.
Killing them saved a new party member by the name of Simearus, who claims to not really remember anything.
Wizard's New Groove
With a plan in mind and people to help, the party leaves to go find Oscar Yoren and do... something. There was no clear decision as to who they would back, but a consensus seemed to be made that they didn't quite want to help the Amethyst Academy.
After some mostly uneventful traveling, everyone arrives at the manor. From being told by Blackjack Mel, the party knows to simply say "Potions" to the ogre zombies so that they'll get escorted to the doors of the building.
Inside... the building is a wreck. They obviously don't take grand care of it, as the place is in general disrepair.
The apprentices were far nicer than Oscar, but they listen to him without pause or fail. Oscar, however, was very self-confident (to say the least). He seemed to think less of everyone, especially the party's wizard. Ultimately, he mildly agreed to help with the cause they were approaching, provided they did not help the Amethyst Academy. He contracts them with a mission to find 3 eldritch lillies in the Queen's Park garden. After, he returns to his laboratory.
While the party was taking a rest, Ashford suddenly felt a pull in his mind, causing him to begin moving through the house. Pushing apprentices aside and throwing a bookshelf on one, he soon simply storms the lab, only for the bodies that Oscar was working with to explode. The Haze latched itself onto him and now he has some sort of... attachment with it.
Everyone was demanded to leave, as well as never approaching his lab again. They were permitted to stay, provided they followed this rule.
Queen's Park
Approaching the Queen's Park wasn't quite the party's perogative, but Oscar Yoren needed some Eldritch Lillies. After the mishaps within Reed Manor, Oscar sent them out to collect his materials for his potions.
The journey was far from eventful, and the time spent at the park only spanned a short while. Upon entering, the group was accosted by flowers. Some sort of hypnotic spores were flung at members of the party to mess with them as they entered and bothered the balance of the garden. However, it didn't become an issue for long, as everyone moved to a different area.
Immediately, they found a sort of pond with flowers in the middle while some sort of dryadic creatures collected the plants. Simearus shot one, but only after Geralt attempted to kill one in a single shot. The creatures escaped with most of the flowers in tow.
This angered the garden, seemingly, and soon the party was faced with a pack of... garden gnomes. In a flash of genius, Perseus cast Fog Cloud and obscured the vision of the angry gnomes, allowing the party to escape with their lives intact.
Returning to Oscar Yoren, the party was ultimately given three doses of Aqua Expurgo to help them with surviving in Drakkenheim, with the promise that they could return and procure more without too much difficulty.
All In a Day's Work
Upon returning to the village, the party needed some aid. Many of the party members had suffered some form of contamination, and so they sought out Flamekeeper Hanna. For a fee, she removed the contamination of each individual aside from some that remained with Ashford. It left him wanting for the night sky of Drakkenheim.
A'ndir spent her time focused on a particular book that was traded from Squeaks. As such, she remained out of trouble, though she did attempt a move to grow closer to Hanna, working alongside her.
Adora spent much of her time focused on keeping Geralt out of trouble.
A Familiar Inn
All seemed normal about the Black Ivory Inn, except everything about it. The building certainly should have collapsed, but as of the time of the players finding it, it was fully intact!
Walking in, everyone found out that there was more to this place than meets the eye. Not only was the inn back up, running, and active again, but it appears to be an active time loop. The day is September 16th, 1111.
This is the place that Adora's family frequented.
Her younger sister, Rose, appears around 7:30 PM.
Ms. Charlotte, the piano player, can be found at all times throughout the loop. She takes a break around 7.
Her older sister, Eila, appears around 8, shortly before the loop ends. She knows that the comet is going to collide with the planet.
In the basement, after the smuggler's warehouse, there is some sort of abomination. It seems to be connected with this whole time loop.
Ms. Charlotte seems to be completely invulnerable, even though she can be interacted with?
There is a member of every faction that currently exists in the tavern.
Osiris Chronolly. An amethyst Academy Mage.
Aaron Grint. Urban ranger of the Hooded Lanterns.
Anika Patel. Human knight of the Silver Order.
Balthazar Adamos. Human priest of the Falling Fire.
Fate Hope. Human scoundrel clad in the colours of the Queen's Men.
A Painful Return
After convincing Miss Charlotte to let the party leave, they all returned back to Emberwood Village. However, Adora was now armed with memories of her past life and who her family was.
She now knew that Eila was her sister.
Adora now knows that Rose is alive as well, though her mother is not.
Targets
For much of this adventure, A'ndir has been on a hunt for some creature that died and came back to life. She has now found out that the target is Adora (formerly known as Magnolia).
The Scar
Scraps
Dwarves
The main takeaway is that the party has now brokered a deal with the dwarves of the scar to have them solely sell delirium to the Queen's Men. This was after fighting several waves of enemies.
Theft
Perseus has been followed extensively by some figure with golden bangles and a similar look to himself. After returning to Emberwood village and entering the Skull and Sword... Perseus has his soul snatched from his body and his intelligence taken from him, alongside a casual promise that more will be taken from him in the future.
Chase
A being has left the shadowfell in pursuit of Adora. They grant A'ndir their powers, and act as a mentor to the tiefling, but seem unwilling to listen to her reasoning.
Amidst this chaos... a plan has been constructed for the party to steal a powerful artifact from the Knights of the Silver Order, the Phylactery of Saint Vitruvio. Little is known so far, but Mel seems prepared to make a plan.
River, however, wants this item delivered to the Amethyst Academy.
